- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
Nico Lamouroux is a civil engineer that jumped into stream ecology during his PhD at the University in Lyon. He leads a team of ~20 people at Irstea targeting the development, test and transfer of ecohydrological models. He is particularly interested in the development of statistical models of the hydraulic habitat of organisms and their applications at the reach and catchment scales. Such models are routinely used in France and other countries for guiding the definition of ecological flows. He has been involved in general comparisons of relations between the biological traits of communities (fish, macro-invertebrates) and the physical habitat in streams. He considers long-term restoration experiments as unique opportunities for testing the predictive power of ecohydraulic models.
