Ryota Tsubaki received his doctorate in Civil Engineering from Kobe University, Japan, in 2006. After working at Nagoya University as a post-doctoral researcher, he has been working at Hiroshima University, Japan. His current research interests are in the areas of measurement and analysis of ecosystem in gravel rivers, sediment transport measurement in gravel rivers, flow visualization measurement, numerical simulation of the inundation and open-channel flows.
